The main contamination hazard in a brewery is the cooling of wort, which can become a breeding ground for the development of microorganisms. However, in addition to this, there are other sources of pollution, such as the use of unsanitary raw materials and equipment, the presence of insects and rodents in production, and insufficient qualifications of personnel.

Disinfection of premises and equipment

Sanitation in breweries includes the removal of hop resins, proteins, salts and various microorganisms. Foam stations using thick foam can remove contaminants even in hard-to-reach areas. At the same time, they operate in an economical mode, according to a preset concentration of detergents, which allows reducing the consumption of water and detergents. Brush and vacuum washers are also used for cleaning.

For external treatment of brewing equipment, containers and premises, you can use a foam washing system, which also allows for disinfection based on NAA. It is important to consider that the plant must regularly disinfect premises and equipment. To do this, you can use chemical and thermal disinfection methods.

Foam stations use thick foam, which allows you to remove dirt even in hard-to-reach places. At the same time, they operate in an economical mode, which helps reduce the consumption of water and detergents. The principle of operation of foam stations is to create and maintain water pressure of 15-20 bar in the pumping station and the process of foaming at the posts. Each washing station is supplied with pressurized water, compressed air and detergent. The worker selects the desired mode (foam/flush/disinfection), places the required nozzle on the washing gun and cleans the production area.

Regular disinfection of premises and equipment in a brewery is a necessary measure to ensure microbiological purity and high quality of beer. For this purpose, various disinfection methods can be used, such as chemical, thermal and physical. It is also important to ensure the quality of water used in production. All these measures will help to avoid contamination of the product and ensure its high quality.
